Rib of the month Club
« Reply #-1 on: December 11, 2014, 03:52:08 AM »
I am trying to find something for my mom for Christmas (She is hard to shop for, my dad doesn't even know what to get her) when I stumbled upon a rib of the month club.  Pretty vague in the description but 2lb of ribs (probably 1 rack) delivered every month.  Thought I would share.

"Gift recipient will receive 2lbs of ribs in assorted varieties each month".  1 rack of ribs weights from 2 1/2 to 3 lbs a rack.  I would like to know how you get a assorted varieties if you only get 2 lbs of ribs?  i'll do it for 1/2 the price and I get my ribs from Costco.   ;)

Totally agree the price is outrageous, I will stick to the butcher or good sales at the store.

I didn't see how many months worth the $249 buys.  Probably cook them dry, cut them and then drown in different sauces to get the "variety"

Well, at best, a monthly club will extend for a year.  At $295 for a year, that is about $25/month.  At best, the price would be $8 per pound.  Just the other day I picked up a couple of packages of ribs for less than $2/lb.  I think I'll stay with Winco  ;D

Yeah, if you got a whole rack each month, along with a different sauce, it might not be that bad of a deal.  But the picture only showed five bones, so who know what's actually in the box when you open it up.
