I think a 'staged' Kayak photo on one of your neighbor's 8' drifts would count for something!

there has been some talk of snow kayaking on facebook but we are leaning towards the snow does not count.

my husband keeps moving my kayak from the garage to the basement on me

Squirt - did you see the picture of Susan from that week where the photo setting was messed up and it looked like she was on snow (but she was not) it was wild

Wow. I feel for you all in CT. We were lucky, only 8" or so in NWNJ.
Cleared the driveway, walks, path for the puppy and most important....the patio.

Bradley and the WSM are coming out to play tomorrow.  ;D

During the "Blizzard of 2013" we got about 14 - 16 inches of snow and lost power for four days... the temperature inside the house dropped to 38 degrees F. while outside was hovering around 14! With no power and an electric stove it was cooking on a camp stove and in the fireplace with cast iron cookware... It was just too cold to fire up the cookers and cook outside.

It sucked but we survived...

Beef stew, grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, grilled pork chops. Nothing fancy but it was hot food. Made coffee by pouring hot water through the coffee maker filter and reheating it.

Hot showers were great but it was a b**ch getting out of a hot shower into a cold bathroom!!

Holy Dorothy Hamill!!!! The last time I saw that much white stuff was when the cotton gin blew up!!!! :D :D :D

Just teasing - actually even way down in North Carolina ( Western NC=mountains) we get snow. 2 years ago we had 49 inches of snow for the winter total. 2 of the snows were 12''-18''.
But - looks like you folks in the NE make a habit of it!!! ;D NOW I understand why so many from up there run to Florida as soon as they can..... ;)

no staged kayaking for us, we went again on Feb 15th

this snow is on an island about 2 miles out ,  the bent poles are damage from hurricane Sandy
