Name a Pulled Pork Dish!
« Reply #-1 on: September 09, 2013, 05:46:28 PM »
Pulled Pork is a very versatile food product. It is delicious as a fresh dinner in a sandwich or just plain served with your favorite side dishes. I have used pulled pork to make the following:

Pulled Pork Burrito - New Mexico Style
Pulled Pork on Nachos

I have also done a few other dishes because it is very versatile.

Can you name some dishes that you have made with Pulled Pork left overs or from frozen Pulled Pork that you have taken from your freezer?

Name that pulled pork dish!

I used pulled pork last weekend in hash browns kind of like you'd use corned beef.

Love pulled pork on pizza with black beans and a chile based sauce

Pulled Pork Tacos:  Pulled pork, seasoned with some lime juice and cracked pepper and served in a flour tortilla with smashed black beans, seasoned yellow rice and homemade salsa.

Pulled Pork Three Bean Chili:  standard chili with chunked or pulled pork and a three-bean mix of black beans, dark red kidneys, and hot chili beans

Pulled Pork Stuffed Baked Potatoes:  with standard tater fixin's

Pulled Pork & Lima Beans:  Creole style slow cooked limas with pulled pork mixed in and served over steamed white rice and a side of garlic bread.

All of these are ideal for leftover meat ...

I make pulled pork eggrolls. Another variation on eggrolls is to use BBQ beef.

In addition to just warming some up for sandwiches, I frequently make:

"Trash Can Omelets" featuring pulled pork plus everything else I can find the fridge that might add up to a great finale.

"Trash Can Hash" from diced potatoes, pulled pork, chopped onions, and diced green peppers (fry it all up in a skillet with a little oil).

"Trash Can Chili" using pulled pork, chopped beef, ground turkey and a list of ingredients already disapproved by Ka Hanu  ;)

. . . and Sloppy Joes using pulled pork instead of ground beef.
