Pretty sad when we have to fear for our safety at the Olympics.  What has this world come to.

Tommy, you are never going to let me live that down, but that is probably the reason I am not a camera operator.

I seem to remember IR2dum telling us at the Fall Gathering that he was so senior he could pretty much pick and choose the events he worked. He told me last week he wasn't going to be able to work the Pro Bowl because he "had" to do the cold weather gig. I don't know whether he voluntarily gave up a winter break in Hawaii for Olympic glory but if he did, it pretty much explains his screen name. If not, maybe he should change it from "IR2dum" to "Unlucky Bubba."

Be safe and (try to) stay warm, Bubba.

Have fun - and be nice to the FSB…..they give a pretty nasty high colonic if they think you are there doing anything other than your job description ;) ;D

G-5's do not come cheap no matter who is paying the price... maybe you'll get the stewardess slipped into the contract next year.

Yep, you will be earning your keep!

See you again next October, maybe sooner.
God bless you,
Albert

Turtle, apparently seniority doesn't mean much when you are as important as me (cough, cough....that was hard to type). Ok, back to reality. I didn't really have a choice because the powers that be decided to farm out the ProBowl to an independent production company that is all ready on the island. Something about time constraints of getting that equipment we would have used to Russia on time. If I would have had a choice, I would have been basking on a recliner in the warm trade winds of the islands sipping libations with my reptilia friend as we listen to Jimmy Buffet while smoking some meat in his new PBC. I'll try to stay warm.

I may know the guy who they farmed it out to (NOA Productions?). If so, I can have him request you as an essential technical guru.

Albert, they pretty much convinced me that I will never see a stewardess on that plane....and they also said that if I wanted some peanuts for snacks or a drink, I better bring them with me. I'm stocked up.

I heard that you were picking up Dee and Jaxon and flying to Houston for a bbq tour with CaptJack and myself. Make that happen before it gets too hot (late April or May would be good).

See you soon.
