SD loves his Clamato juice for drinks and I just ran across this that is interesting.

I do enjoy a Black and Tan however I did not know it was considered a beer cocktail  :P

Micheladas are my favorite Don.  Here is my recipe:

1- Large frozen mug. ( lim and salt for rimming the glass...celery salt, or ground Tuscan salt blend with herbs are good choices)

2.Your favorite lager ( a lighter beer works better IMHO )

3.Zing-Zang Bloody Mary mix.

4. Shake or stir. Drink. Repeat. ;D

Adjust beer/Zing-Zang ratio to taste. Start with a 50/50 ratio - and have fun!

I like Black & Tans as well. I also like a Snakebite once in awhile (hard cider with Guinness floating on top.) In Minnesota we like our "red beer" - a glass of tomato juice (could use Clamato or V8) and pour in whatever beer you happen to be drinking. Garnish with whatever vegetables are handy (or not.)

I once saw someone's red beer get garnished with a tampon, that cured him of his red beer addiction.  :P

Funny how each place has their names for drinks and might not be the same as where you live. For instance here we call a Snakebite drink is mixed with tequila and jack daniels shot. I have 4-5 of them every birthday. Not something I recommend but it sure kicks ass  ;D ;D ;D

Funny...I learned about Michelada in a Mexican bar that no bikers would dare step into...It was THAT rough. A hangout for "contractors" south of the border....There were no wussies there- and the Michelada was the drink of choice.
