Larry,
They look like they need to be put in your turn-in box.  I'll bet they were good!

"Just a plate..."???? Those look superb. How did you make them?

Really simple.  They were already boneless skinless so all I had to do was trim them up a little, rub with a little olive oil and season with Jan's Original Dry Rub.  Preheated the MAK to 235 burning hickory(I'm from KY after all) and smoked them for 15 minutes.  After 15 minutes I pushed the temp in the MAK up to 325 and cooked them until the internal temp was around 160.  At that point I glazed them with Big Moe's BBQ Sauce out of Council NC.  Allowed the glaze to set for around 3 minutes in the MAK.  Repeated the glazing process a second time.  Done!

Art, if I were putting them in a turn in box I would have dunked them in the sauce to get a more even coating and taken them off the grill with a spatula rather than tongs. ;)

Sounds great and even if you used tongs they do look purty!

JUST a plate of chicken thighs?   C'mon, give yourself more credit than that.   Those look scrumptious!   Stuffed from baby backs, corn on the cob, salad from lunch, BUT that made my stomach start growling!  Super job, Larry, from another Larry.

Dang Larry, those look great.

How do you keep the boneless thighs from coming unraveled (going splat!) on the grill?

Randy, I bought those thighs at a local Kroger's.  They were packaged already pretty much folded in the shape you see in the photo.  I unfolded them to trim them up a little and folded them back.  As they cooked they pretty much bonded to themselves.
