I am glad Sandman likes craft beers and carries a nice selection at his carry out. Keystone light is my regular beer but I like something different once in a while. Over the years my favorite styles are, pale ale, nut brown ale and German Helles style. I like a porter once in a while but most I have tried are too bitter for me and leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
He has been carrying some different styles from Deschutes Brewery, brewed in Portland, Oregon. Today I bought some of their Butte Black Porter and I really like it. I am not very good at describing the flavors; I just know I like it or I don’t! After reading some reviews on it I would say what describes it best for me, is “It has a slight bitter taste up front but leaves you with a fresh caramel taste”.
I would say if you like Porter’s and can find this beer; give it a try.

I describe a lot of things the same way, either I like it or I don't.
