Smokin Hot Brussel Sprouts!
Ingredients
1 pound fresh brussel sprouts
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon (10 grinds) black pepper
Directions
1. Preheat pellet grill to 375 degrees . Line a large baking sheet with foil (for easy clean up).
Or I use Frogmat, http://www.cookinpellets.com/frogmats/, to get the best smoke flavor. But, no browning.
2. Rinse the brussel sprouts, remove outer leaves as needed, cut off the stems and cut in half. Transfer to a large bowl and toss with the olive oil, maple, salt and pepper.
3. Spread brussel sprouts on prepared baking sheet to get them to brown if that’s what you are looking for... you will get less smoke flavor. Your choice.
Or Use a Frogmat. Smoke 30 minutes, check to make sure they are not getting to brown,
turn if needed and continue smoking 10 - 15 more minutes, until tender and well-browned.
I also did these and topped with fresh garlic about 15 minutes before I pulled off and served.

Sounds good, especially if you throw some fresh bacon chunks on after they come out of the smoker.

Oh that sounds great! I love grilled Brussels sprouts!
And I do believe Robert's idea would make them even better! How could bacon not make ANYTHING better! ;)
-
Oh boy! That does sound good. I love grilled and roasted brussels sprouts - this sounds like a great idea. Thanks!
