Do I have your attention now?
Final plans are being made for the big Cookout with Bremer, here in Byron, GA (google maps has it).
We'll start on Friday, Sept 30th and close it down on Sunday. The event is FREE!
This event draws quite a crowd from this forum, giving us all an opportunity to cook together and fellowship around the grills. We have developed some very close bonds thru this gathering.
Some logistics: a number of hotels are within minutes of our place (google 'em); we are about 90 minutes south of Atlanta airport; we will have all the regular "stuff" you'll need if you want to cook something; basically, you just sign up and show up. Everybody will be glad to see you.
This year we will be cookin' a whole pig in "la Caja china" - a big box - followed by what we call a pig-pickin'. We'll also have ribs, pulled pork, probably wings, and maybe a SLAWSA dog. Oh, and we may have some type of vegetable. To be sure you get what you want to drink -- bring it with you. Adult beverages are okay, just drink responsibly.
So that we can accommodate everyone, We're asking you to RSVP ASAP.
Don is coming from Texas, others from Alabama, North Carolina, as well as parts of Georgia.
We are really lookin' forward to it.
B T W, my final post will be the last one I do here. Who knows when that'll be.

Reminds me of this pig in Lajitas, TX (close to Terlingua) that will drink a beer right out of the bottle. Every tourist buys this pig a beer. That is one fat pig.

Jaxon, what is your address?

Lock in your GPS to:
215 Muirfield Lane
Byron, GA 31008
I-75 is about 6 minutes away...so are many hotels, etc.
I ordered the whole pig last week - 40 lb. Terry and Albert will be cooking' it in la caja china.
We'll have ribs, wings, beef, etc. maybe some vegetables and salad desserts, too.
The best part will be the sittin' around the shed with friends you've only chatted with on line.
Yikes! It's only 2 weeks away. Get to makin' your plans to attend.
