Temperatures across the Royall RG2000 grate are amazingly tight.

I believe this is because of the way smoke and heat exits out of the center top through a diverter pulling from both left and right.

I hooked up three Rock's Stoker probes left, center and right.

Here are a couple of results.

I just added a chimney to the Royall 2000 to keep most of the smoke our of the cook area.

Come on now, you gotta know I love the smell of a clean smoke but I do not like it when it fills up the cooking patio nor do I enjoy cleaning the ceiling.   :)

Also it interfers with the game. ;)

Little on the small size but I did not think of a patio when I built my work shop next to the house.

Nice mod with the chimney stack so you don't smoke out anyone sitting under the patio cover.

Thank you  and plus the fact of eliminating the monthly cleaning of the patio ceiling.
The stack is removable unlike my old system on the modified traeger.

Stumbling across a Royall on the Internet is what got me interested in pellet cooking years ago.  They are made by a heavy industry manufacturer that specializes in pellet furnaces that doesn't promote the cookers much.  I think if they bothered to advertise and promote them there'd be a lot more of them sold.

While researching which new pit to buy I had email and phone conversations with four manufacturers.
While talking with Royall it was mention that the Royall Pellet Grills is small business and that's the way they like it.

I did notice while on Royall's web site they have a New Pit.  The Royall RG 5000VS vertical smoker
