Any suggestions on what type of container is best for storing wood pellets?
Thanks

A dry basement, or dry storage are where the temp and humidity are fairly constant is best. I do not put my pellets inside another container - until I want to make them easier to keep out on the deck. Then I resort to 6 gallon buckets, that have a screw on, gasketed lid.
The bucket has a handle...easier for carry - and easier on your back and shoulders....

They will keep pellets dry - even in a driving rain storm. A 6.5 gallon bucket will almost hold a 40 lb. bag...

I like the Buddeez 1704 Charcoal Kaddy's for my daily type use of pellets. They will hold a full 40 pound bag of pellets. I watch for them on sale and will usually pay about 10-13 dollars for them.

I purchase pellets in 500 pound batches and store the 40 pound bags in the garage in standard 34 gallon garbage cans to keep them dry and mouse free until I need them in my Kaddy's.

Mr T helped me years ago on this same question ;D
Search Amazon for ; Vestil PAIL-SCR-65-W Plastic Screw-Top Pail with Lid and Handle, 6.5 gallon Capacity, White

I use Kingsford charcoal "buckets" for the pellets I'm currently using. Stored ones for later usage can go just about anywhere that won't get wet. I have a big plastic outdoor storage box that works well for that.

Visit a local restaurant and ask them to save 5-gallon pickle buckets with lids.

Unopened bags are stored in the attic above my garage. It's dry and ventilated so all good up there. Opened bags of which I usually have 2 or 3 varieties, are stored in an air-tight lidded plastic barrel. Just keeping moisture away is the ultimate need.

I use 2 of these. IRIS 3-Piece Airtight Pet Food Container Combo.

I use the Kingsford charcoal caddys too

Decided on the Gamma lid from Home Depot. Seals up nicely.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170404/26bbc844e631ecfa0e0f4d5f12e238a2.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170404/0706210dcd0dae117392b8f1a469bfda.jpg)

Very nice....
BTW -Do they still offer this with a padded top - so that you have an extra "seat" if the cooking area becomes crowded with "grill vultures"? ( Friends and family that are constantly lifting the lid and sometimes sneaking a piece off of the grill... :D :D :D)
