Title: Summertime Tips
Post by: mrbbq on July 13, 2018, 04:18:55 PM
No doubt, many of us are spending as much time as we can outdoors this time of year. Here are a couple of proven tips to help you enjoy your patio life even more.

1) Keep flying pests out of the house by filling a zip lock bag with water. Then pin that bag of water on your outside door frame. The reflection of the water in the bag keeps bugs at bay.

2) If its hot and you want to cool down your patio area, run your sprinkler for 45-60 minutes. Get the grass nice and wet. As the water evaporates off the grass, it acts like an evaporator cooler. The sprinkler helps to break the heat tension, which will bring the ambient air temp down in the backyard.

And because it is so hot outside, dont forget that food borne bacteria rapidly multiples on meat/food. So keep those items cool, or after serving get them back into the fridge within 60 minutes. That way you can avoid getting food poisoning.

Good tips :)

Also, you can run some fans outside to keep the skeeters from being able to land on ya and chew you up............................
