I have been looking for this stuff for sometime and Kimmie found me some. So she ask "What you gonna do with it"??
Hell I'm doing ribs!!!
Mine have a sauce made from my rub, BBQ sauce and Honey Powder Kimmies were just rub and Honey Powder
These were as close to candy ribs as I have ever had!

It was a big day for pork around here yesterday. Tommy and me have been studying under Sparkys watchful eye..trying to obtain rib nirvana. :D
Just beautiful Tommy....now tell us about this honey powder...come on...you know you want to.... ;)

Cook well done! All of it looks good! If I knew you wanted honey powder I would have sent it to you...been using it a couple years now. One of my favorite uses is on belly when smoking bacon.

Looks good Tommy but Kimmy's doesn't look burned enough.

Great looking ribs Tommy!

The honey powder seems to add a few things to the ribs. A nice gloss to the sauce, thickens the sauce/rub very well and the taste is very sweet like honey so to me it's a win win win! Will use it again in a lot of cooks

That looks mlike honey powder but the site name is not the same. It would be a good place to order though it looks like.
I really like the stuff and plane on using it a lot more

I gotta ask? What did you do with the foil? I have never used foil when smoking my ribs? granted i prefer my ribs dry rubbed only. Although the other half hinted about trying a rack with some sauce.....

Search for ribs cooked by our resident rib maestro Sparky. He has a great method that many have tried......I like it. He is also the resident expert on Fat Tire ;)

When cooking ribs in an SRG, I cook naked for 35 mins or so (nothing on them at all) Then once a bark is started I remove them rub with a good rub wrap in 2 sheets of foil and return them to the SRG for about 40 to 45 mins more.
This has never failed me

The foil will create more tender ribs. The longer you foil them the more tender. The trick is to apply the right amount of foil time. Too much and you will end up with mushy ribs. I like my ribs tender but firm. The meat is firm but still pulls away from the bone leaving a clean bone. That is my idea of a perfect rib. Your idea might be different. Best thing to do is to experiment and find what works for you so that you end up with a consistent product you like. That is most important.
You can also create some foil love. Just add some butter, honey, and brown sugar to the foil ribs. This will flavor the ribs and create a sauce that you can drizzle back onto the ribs. Ummm ummm!
