Great video and impressed with the robotics implemented within your facility to keep the health insurance costs down for the other employees :)

Watching the video again, I think only a machine could reach the level of precision needed in that certain manufacturing process.  :)

I can tell you that MAK will not even use screws that are not made in the USA.

And smokeasaurus...we all know you were just hoping to see a factory worker in a skirt..... ;D ;D ;D

As the guy who owned MAK #27 which I think is the second MAK 2 Star that was sold to the public and now the proud owner of #829 I have been following the folks at MAK from the get go.  There are plenty of American workers in that factory.

Correct me if I am wrong, doesn't Mak have some sort of certification that every component on the MAK is 100% U.S.A. made?

Great video Bob!

Seeing that video gives you a good sense of exactly why MAK grills are priced the way they are. Precision and high quality.

They are certified by "Made in USA Certified, Inc (http://info.usa-c.com/)".

Yep - like I said earlier...it is my understanding that MAK does not even use fasteners made "over there"...only USA made pieces and parts.

The sum...is indeed greater than it's parts! ;)

Yes we do! Sadly even we cant get every part made here like circuit board diodes etc. the certification audit requires 90% but we are closer to 98%.
Made in USA certified is the certification company and it was quite the lengthy process but worth it!

The equipment we use is highly sophisticated as you can see, I will post some more pics and videos of other areas too. The tolerance is +/- .010 and 1/2 degree on the press brakes. The welding of the hood is pretty cool too, it's all hand tig welded then ground and striped.

Yes, you can't do that by hand or even with a manual brake the material is 16ga stainless steel and takes about up to 100 tons of pressure to form depending on the bend length :)
This machine takes two operators, one to program it and another to set up each part and keep it fed.
Wait until you see the laser, that is awesome!
