Title: MAK Rib Roast
Post by: Sam3 on April 08, 2013, 07:46:23 AM
Cleaning out the freezer yesterday, making room for some more Italian sausage when I came across a Rib Roast I bought a while ago.

I'm thinking Sunday night dinner.  :)

Onto the MAK at 275.

OK...that's not gonna work. Reading "LLL" on the Maverick, which means it's still frozen inside.
Bumped her up to 350 and temps started creeping up.

Pulled at 120 and tent foiled for a bit while I warmed up some leftovers.

Oh man, plenty left! Just the wife and I.

Thinking of slicing thin and serving with an Au Jus tonight.
Or maybe roast beast sammiches.

Decisions....decisions... ;D

I will go out and dig up some fresh horseradish and grate it for us, if I can have some. Pam   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Must be one of those "magic" freezers I have heard about. I open mine and I see frozen pizza and corn dogs.

Beautiful plate of food.

YUM! That's a nice looking slice-o-beef. Love the beans too.

A rib roast cooked properly on a grill is one of those things that just ruins a good restaurant experience.  You'll never think Prime Rib in a restaurant is nearly as good, especially at the prices they charge.

I bought it on sale a month or so ago, and stuffed into the freezer immediately. Then it got buried by a load of Elk Summer Sausage.
Yea, it was a nice find!  ;D

I have a bone-in rib roast in the freezer now. I hope it comes out half as nice as yours did.
