Title: Aye Carumba burgers
Post by: smokeasaurus on October 19, 2013, 08:15:07 PM
First off, lets all say Aye Carumba....come on...you can do it:
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/funny%20icons/index_zpse5dca84a.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/funny%20icons/index_zpse5dca84a.jpg.html)

All right, had a little help from my friends
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/001_zpsd67ca8da.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/001_zpsd67ca8da.jpg.html)

Grilled the burgers on one side then circled the wagons
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/002_zpsbe22d359.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/002_zpsbe22d359.jpg.html)

Added a split Ortega chili (Mama didn't want one as you can see)
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/003_zps5efbb1d9.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/003_zps5efbb1d9.jpg.html)

Some pepper jack cheese
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/004_zps107fb854.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/004_zps107fb854.jpg.html)

No mayo mustard today, dabbed on some refried beans
(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/005_zps52da7a56.jpg) (http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/s1cott11/media/005_zps52da7a56.jpg.html)

Man did those taste like more. All I could say when I was done was:

OMG..I know those were fabulous. Nothing like a great greasy cheeseburger. Like how you cooked them too. I am using the indirect method with much luck. Once I learned that trick..my charcoal cooking has really improved. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ

Aye Carumba!!!

Smoke, is there a box out there somewhere that can contain your cookin' ideas?
I'm makin' notes as fast as I can sign onto the forum.  There's always a fresh approach to even the simplest things to cook.  I think I'll stick around a while longer.

I'm havin' a great time learning from you guys...

You better stick around as long as I do buddy  ;)

True story, I went to the market Saturday morning without a clue of what I was gonna cook for the weekend. Mama gave me her shopping list and she wanted a couple of cans of Underwoods Deviled Ham. So I hit the canned goods aisle, which happened to be the Hispanic section. Saw the big cans of Ortega chilis and thought, "Hey, those would be good on a burger" saw the cans of refried beans and it was on and popping  8) 8)

Smoke, I do believe I could maybe eat one (or five) of those burgers. I really like what you did with the chile on top. It's like a Chili Relleno burger.

Dang that's a good looking burger.  I think I'll replicate it with one change.  Since I'm not a big fan of refried beans, I'll hit it with some homemade red pepper hummus...

I know what's on the menu this weekend!

Aye Carumba! Some nice burgers. I tried a burger with refried beans (http://dr-burger.blogspot.de/2013/08/san-antonio-bean-burger.html) 2 months ago, yet, and I confirm that it tastes outrageous.
