Spark - the Way Out West Trail Dust ( very green - lots of veggies and herbs) and this new rub have very little salt in them. Very little. In fact - I get complaints form some folks, that are sort-of "de-sensitized" by the amount of salt in their diet, so they expect my rubs to be salty - and they aren't.

And - the only salt I use is a natural sea salt. Which has higher amounts of Magnesium, Manganese, Strontium, and other mineral that help us with balancing blood pressure.

What I cannot say is that these are "healthy" choices. I am no doctor. BUt - I can tell you they are much lower in salt than almost anything on the market.

Salt is used as a cheap filler by many popular brands, and it allows them to make their product appear less expensive. BUt, you - and many of us know that "cheap" can sometimes be the most expensive.

And - just to offer this to forum members. Anyone that wants "salt-free" in any product I make - I will make small batches for you. No price increase, but we may need to talk about minimum orders. I will make it easy - because I understand the need.

Please let me know how I can assist!
T

order the 4 rubs from the web site right?  any discounts to forum members?  doesn't hurt to ask?  how is the hot rooster rub?  and, which rub do you use for ribs and butts?

I have a pork butt going right now Sparkey and I used the Fine Swine and Bovine and it is holding up real well.

I put in on pretty heavy yesterday and wrapped it tightly in saran wrap. When I unwrapped it this morning the butt looked like it was soaked in a marinade....outrageous!!
