Show and tell. We wanted to do a little something for us with a three day weekend without being in the smoker for most of the day so I was told to cook a Rib-eye, New York strip and some country ribs. Salt, pepper and olive oil on the steaks and a light coat of fiesta on the country ribs than coated in a quick honey based bar-b-que sauce I made
Question for Pellet grill/smoker owners: Do you store your machine outside with just a cover? And have you ever had any problems storing it that way? I ask because I have been keeping mine in the garage covered since my patio is not covered. We are in talks with a builder to build our "retirement house" (thought this one was it but the wife changed OUR mind) so adding a cover to the patio is not being considered.

I keep mine on a covered screened patio.
-
I keep mine uncovered most of the time under a pop up canopy. No problems whatsoever yet and
it rains A LOT here in Georgia!

Mine is kept covered on my very uncovered deck. You Just don't want to keep pellets in the hopper for extended periods if you are not using it. I think they absorb moisture and mess with the auger.
At least that's what I keep telling myself ;D

First - looks awesome
Second - covered on an uncovered deck in the Seattle area - LOTS of rain but seems ok so far

I might be moving mine outback then. It is just in the way in the garage right now with the riding mower and all the other yard tools in there.

Mine is currently left outside and uncovered with no issues ;)

Same here also. 40 above to 40 below. The MAK has a cool chute to clear your pellets. If I am Leaving for an extended time then I will run the auger to clear the pellets ;D
Your cook looks fantastic :)

Great looking food. As for the cooker, it stays in my garage when not in use
-
Thanks for all the input. Seems I will get to keep it in the garage 8). All it took was me stopping and talking to a salesman about a 20x21x8 carport :D

Ours are out year round, covered, on a covered patio. The dirt/dust here is so alkaline it can eat even stainless steel up in time. Too much invested in them to leave them uncovered, and, in the winter, when we do get snow, or one of our wild thunderstorms in the spring/summer, the wind can blow hard enough to get them snow covered or wet. Don't like that part.

Oh, wow! That's great looking food.
To continue hat looks somewhat like a survey—My pellet pit is always on an open deck, usually empty and covered to protect the electronics. I have left it uncovered with pellets in it for a week or longer—no problems but inadvisable. I would prefer more protection but that's not likely.
