Canadian Cooler
« Reply #-1 on: July 11, 2014, 01:10:04 PM »
I think I tried Clamato juice a long time ago but didn't like it, I never tried it with beer. Then our Canadian members started posting their Clamoto Bloody Mary's and Clamato and beer cocktails. I decided I had to try it. I just made up one in a frosted glass, a little lime juice on the rim and sea salt, half Clamato and half Keystone. Dang that was good!!! You guys made me do it so I call this a Canadian Cooler in you honor! Thanks for the idea! Smokin Don

Next one will be in a bigger glass!  ;)

After going to the grocery this morning to get some Clamato juice and got home about noon it was time to get my pork butt seasoned but first I had to try the Clamato and beer. I loved it.

It is now after 3:00 pm, my pork butt is in the smoker and it was time for another Canadian Cooler. I had put a larger glass in the freezer after wetting. This time I tried a Yuengling light lager with it and took the time to add a celery stalk. I had wet the rim with lime juice and dipped in some sea salt.

This is a delicious drink and may have to look for a larger mug!  ??? It goes down fast!!! Smokin Don

If and when you get some try it with rimming the glass but it is also very good if you deep fry chicken wings and than toss the wings in a baggy with the seasonings. Make sure you have beer at hand as they both go together.............OH my another Canadian secret let out. Me bad.  ;)

Pack some in your suitcase when you come to the Fall Gathering.  I'd be interested in some myself.
