Sliced Pork Butt, MAK Style
« Reply #-1 on: October 14, 2014, 07:41:50 PM »
Just wanted to say that I did a quick 5 hr smoke/cook on my new MAK 1 Star the other day.

Small (6lb) butt smoked for 2.5 hrs, then foiled & tinned for 2.5 hrs. Taken off at 175*, rested for 30 minutes, sliced and served.

Super smoke ring, super taste, super easy. Just don't get any better than that.

Sorry, no pics, use your imagination.  :D

Sounds delicious!

(By the way, all the "unicorn" comments undoubtedly headed your way shortly are just a good natured way of teasing about not having photographic evidence of the cook.)   :)  We love us some food pics!

Sure I will. I always think about pics after the fact.  :D

In all honesty though, using this grill is so simple it's like I am cheating. (which in this case is a good thing)

Needs to be fed a steady diet of peas while on probation.  :P
