Cornish Game Hens and Cornbread Stuffing
« Reply #-1 on: October 26, 2014, 07:24:16 PM »
I had never made Cornish games hens before. I cut them into quarters to separate the white from the dark meat.
Soaked in buttermilk for a few hours. Then hit them with chicken saver.

On to the Weber......didn't lite enough coals. I figured smaller birds......less charcoal???  Had to finish in the oven.

Made Hub's cornbread stuffing.  Hub says you can't have stuffing without gravy. And since I don't want any of the mods to put me in the penalty box.....so I made some killer gravy.

Hen was really moist. Stuffing was great too. Excellent meal.

I cooked these for my daughter (the one in FL) and her husband for Thanksgiving for the last 3-4 years.  Quick, easy, tasty . . .

Besides, where are you going to find a turkey small enough for three people!!!
