my PK rocks the house.

I love this grill.  I haven't use my weber kettle since I got it.  air tight and I can dial it in to any temp I want.  I asked my wife what she thought of the PK grill.  this came out of her mouth, "it reminds me of my dad in the 60's wearing a white t-shirt and Bermuda shorts in louvers drinking a miller highlife burning hamburgers and hot dogs in the backyard".

make believe all the pics are black and white. and enjoy.  one thing I liked about the PK is that it is made in the same town my mom was born and raised in.  I have a connection to my grill.

from Costco.  I love these.

my posse.   ;)

I absolutely love this grill / smoker.  my webers kettles should be scared.  very scared...... 8)

There is a reason the PK Grill has been around since 1952. It originated in Texas. The guy used to sell em out of his 57 Chevy.

If you are on the fence about getting a PK grill/smoker, just look at these excellent cooks by Sparky  8)

Heck, my PK came out unscathed from the Tendarub Challenge  ;)

The more I read about these PK's the more I think of getting one as my permanent RV traveling grill/smoker.  I've had a great time taking half my outdoor kitchen gear with me on road trips but I admit its getting to be a PIA to load and unload 3-4 of my cookers every trip.   A PK or maybe two, that can be left in the RV for road trips just might be the solution.

They are so easy to clean as well. You take off the top in the closed position.....take out the charcoal and cooking grate (which is hinged) and the bottom pc simply lifts out of the stand and you dump it. Easy Peasy.

You can also order any parts for the grill off of their web-site.

That's another selling point, I can spend the day out riding and bar hopping then come back to the RV with some ribs, TendaRub and PK and have ribs in less than two hours.  Sure beats sitting at the RV all day smoking ribs while everyone else is out on a ride.

Love the PK girls and that is some fine looking food Sparky. You might want to get that dog on Jenny Craig diet though. I am still kicking my rear cause i found a 50's PK at an estate sale a few years back for $20 in really good shape but the grates were rusted out. I didn't know you could still order parts.

So the PK has 306 square inches and the Weber 363 square inches. Would I miss the extra real Estate?

I don't think so pappy.  I got plenty of room.  I love that I can go in-direct / direct very easy and I am loving the shape.  w/ the extra racks I got a lot of room.

I would say great post, Sparky, but it was more like a show with all that great looking food coming off a time tested grill.  Bravo!
