Vortex Thighs and Drumettes
« Reply #-1 on: April 14, 2016, 06:38:50 PM »
Dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow is thighs and drumettes. They were given a good dose of Meat Church BBQ's
Honey Hog and Deez Nuts.

I am using the Weber Performer with a chunk of cherry wood.

Drumettes are ready to come off the grill.

Thighs are done. The wings are under them in the pan.

My plate (just for Pappy) with some broccoli rice casserole.

Most definitely wife approved! She absolutely loved the smoke flavor and the combination of rubs.

That's my favorite plate.....gives me seizures. I may have to investigate a vortex. Still don't really understand what it does. Chicken looks killer

I think it is one of the best ways to cook chicken. Always turns out great. I made my own out of a thick stainless steel bowl that I cut the bottom off. Works great.
