Easy Turkey Sliders
« Reply #-1 on: November 17, 2012, 07:40:43 PM »
While I do my fair share of beef and pork cooks 80% of everything I eat is healthy. I wholeheartedly believe in the "Body for Life" way of eating. The reason Im posting this cook is that I wanted to try Tee's M3 seasoning...it came out better than expected!  It's a perfect seasoning for turkey burgers.

Easy. 1# ground turkey breast, beans, a bit of red bell pepper and onion & the M3

First, I drained a can of black beans and mashed about 2/3 of the can...

Although this pic shows the potato masher, I didnt use it.  Just put on a pair of disposable gloves and gently mixed it all together.  I used 3Tbls of Tee's M3. Easy peasy.

Nearly finished on the Yoder...

Sorry, I dont have a finished plate pic.  Main reason is we were too hungry and also because to make it look complete I needed some good whole grain slider buns (do they exist???)

Hats off to Tee and his M3.  In the past I have either come up with my own seasoning or used McCormicks All American Burger or Meatloaf seasoning.  Dont snicker though, they are actually pretty good.  The M3 however is quite a lot better.
One thing I'll add regarding turkey burgers is that, in my opinion the adding of beans is a must.  It does so much for the consistency of the meat plus it adds a good amount of fiber.

If anyone is interested, here's a link to the BFL book on Amazon.

Buy it used, very inexpensive and it can change your life, for the better.

I like Turkey Sliders myself, never thought of adding beans. For the buns you can take any recipe for whole wheat dinner rolls and after you form the balls, just smush it down with the bottom of a jar or something.

John, nice burger cook

I buy packs of ground- turkey, pork, & beef. all close to the same amount
put them together into a big bowl
and season with Instant Gourmet - Original,
onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper
mix the whole mess with my hands
then make it all up into patties in a little plastic patty press
individually wrap the patties in plastic wrap
then into a ZipLok freezer bag
I usually get around 15~18 patties

I can put them frozen on my CB RED Urban on High and
have a finished burger in 18'mins

instead of lettece & tomato I use Pico-De-Gallo & fresh cilantro
either on a toasted sesame hamburger bun, or wheat hoagie bun

Turkey & Black Bean Sliders.

Hmmm... I like that idea.   Yes, I'm afraid I may just have to give 'em a try!
