I tried a deep fried Twinkie before and was not that impressed. Maybe bacon is the key ingredient that was needed ;)

The only way to know for sure would have been be to try one.  Sadly, with the recent news of Hostess going bankrupt & closing down, it looks as though that may never happen .  :'(

Keep your chin up Tent, I have heard some reports there are a bunch of heavy hitters interested in buying Hostess and keeping the goodies in the stores!!

In elementary school (late 60's/early 70's) we had a couple of field trips to the Hostess Factory in Los Angeles!!!  At the end of the tour we were taken to the employees lunchroom and sat down and we each got a fresh Ding Dong!!

The TV is on right now and there is a report that Hostess has been allowed to go out of business and they can now start selling their beloved brands....let  us hope for the best!!
