I am so close to pulling the trigger! Maybe I should just order one and take the heat after it arrives :o

What is the distance between the bottom of the charcoal basket & the inside bottom of the barrel?

Not much LA......maybe .50-.75, might have something to do with the way the charcoal burns.................

It was easy for me. The wife says, how much did you spend on that. --- ok, no I know how much I can spend on myself. She forgets about the $104 I saved and spent on pellets. :) ;D.

muebe, it has been my experience that she will forget how mad she is at you about the same time that she tastes the first smoked meat from it. For your sake, hope that it arrives quickly. Good luck!
