Pork Butt Roast with Arepas
« Reply #-1 on: June 11, 2018, 06:51:40 PM »
With time running out the planned pulled pork turned into a pork roast which came out very good.  Instead of the usual tortillas to make tacos, decided to try making arepas, which are basically corn cakes.  Lots of ways to make them but decided on Venezuela style which were grilled.  Should have baked in the oven after to make insides more done but it was the first time.  They have a built in pocket like a pita bread so you can stuff away

Looks good..I found arepas in Florida in the biscuit section..left before I got to try them, I make my own tortillas so probably should make some real ones..they are always the best.  Enjoy.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I've eaten arepas & liked them, but I've never made them.
Now you have got me inspired to try making them. Thanks.  :)
