Simple is good. 26 love.

If you want to cook a lot of food and only want to use one grill.  Get a 26" kettle.  I love this thing.  Ok, wife and daughter wanted Costco steelhead for dinner with rice.  Rice, ya.. I'm not suppose to have rice with my diet.  But I don't want steelhead with my rice.  I got a better protein.  Spam baby.  I love spam.  Costco sells it by the case.   ;).

I put the steelhead in a buttered pan with dill, salt and pepper.  Simple.  Asparagus wrapped with 1/2 piece of skinny bacon.  Nothing else.  Simple.  Spam I cross cut and put Oakridge secret weapon.  Simple.

Everyone in the pool.

Look how much room I have.

2 Guinness draught later were done.

Bacon got nice and crispy and made the asparagus taste really good.  Spam was fantastic.  I grilled it up done on all sides over the coal so it could get its crisp on.  Super good.  Salmon, spam, rice, salad and some fruit with a drizzle of honey on it.  All in all a great meal.

Moral of the story.  If you like kettles get yourself a 26.  You will love her.

Not a fan of spam and don't do much salmon either, but I'm with ya on the kettle! Just picked up a 22" performer a couple weeks ago, got a slow n sear for it and have been using the crap out of it! Just picked up a jumbo joe for the travel trailer and will be headed out for the next week with it, ditched the weber q220 gasser that we always packed. Have always wanted a kettle and just now got around to one. I could probably sell off all the others and just use the kettle......maybe....if I could only have one. Great cook and sweet cooker! The 26" would most likely be my choice now if I could only have one grill.

Have you seen a 26 in person? It’s crazy to see a 22 and 26 side by side. You wouldn’t think the difference would be so significant... it is though.
