A man and his PK 360
« Reply #-1 on: January 01, 2019, 12:51:16 PM »
If y'all don't know yet we are moving up north to the Seattle area.  My wife and daughter already live there for the past month while I get one of our houses ready to sell.  They came down for 2 weeks for Xmas time.   My job is to get a house ready to sell and get this house I'm living in ready to rent.  I go over to the rental house everyday to work on it.  In the last two days I have ripped out carpet in bedroom #2, primed the walls and floor (they had cats that pissed all over the room), repainted, textured the walls and laid new carpet.  Today it's putting up baseboards and caulk.  Almost done.

I ask my wife why she bought me my new pk 360.  She said she loves me and I have been working real hard over at the rental.  And I'm cute.   ;)

Ok, enough about me.  Let's get to cooking.

Chicken was first cook because I'm tired and I could sit in the backyard and have a few Guinness stouts.
I love how the PK 360 is truly a two zone cooking machine.  First fire.

A little Oakridge on some chicken legs.

Everyone in the pool.

Four vents on the PK.  Two up top and two below.  For this cook top left and bottom right open all other vents closed.

One hour later a little sear action.

Well, I brought these in the house and went back outside to check on the dogs.  When I came back in my wife and daughter ate all the chicken legs.  Damn.  Ok, I can fix this.  More chicken legs back on the grill.  Meat church on these legs.

More Guinness for me.

Looking good.

Sorry about the dark picture.  But they were good.

.

Next cook ribs baby.  I love ribs.  It's pretty windy today.  Let's see how the PK 360 does.

Meat church to the rescue.

This is my setup for my ribs cook.

Lots of room to cook.

No wrap, no spritz just good old ribs the right way.  I never touch the vents just let it ride for 4 hours.  Sorry about the dark pic.

A tad over done for me but my wife lived them.

I like dry ribs  My wife likes wet ribs.  So she put some warmed bull's eye sauce on them.  I love the crust they got.

Super good and fall off the bone.

.

Next up.  Salmon.

I cook my salmon a certain way.  Simple and tasty.

Costco salmon I shrink wrap and freeze.

I cut up some lemons and use that has my bed for the salmon with just salt and pepper.

It's good this way.

Looking good.

You know how hard it is to hold a flashlight and take a picture after you have been having a few crowns.  It's not easy.  Lol.

Salmon turned out very good.

Loving this new grill/smoker.

Ok, back over to the rental to finish it up.  Thanks for sharing my journey.

Sparky,
All looks great. (May need to get the wife's eyes checked- " ...and I am cute." ???)

If you are looking for an all purpose cooker, the PK seems to be one to consider.

I think I'll have some of those ribs with a side of salmon.  Heck you may as well throw one of those drumsticks on my plate too. They ALL look great, Sparky!
