One Stick Turkey
« Reply #-1 on: December 16, 2019, 08:49:52 AM »
Had a turkey breast roll in the freezer so I thought why not cook it for lunches.

I mixed 2 Tbs Mrs. Dash with one stick of butter  (normally I do 3 Tbs Mrs. Dash and 2 sticks butter)   But since this was only a turkey roll and not a full bird I cut it back..

Now I injected the roll and if you look the butter has jelled up on the outer layer this is because I keep the turkey as cold as possible when injecting hot butter..

I used my pellet SRG to slow smoke the roll for 2 hrs using apple/hickory blend , temp was 190 ish then went to high to finish up

Tommy, that looks quite tasty, indeed!  You got such a nice smoke ring, that it almost looks like a turkey ham.
