I just told the wife "I want some real maple syrup" Im tired of this 2% crap. Without looking at this thread she said" It has to have  maple leaf on it" cause canadian syrup is the best. I'm on a mission and those super meaty ribs are gonna be superb for sure.

I had not heard this about Canadian syrup. Can you share some more info?

You did Sparky proud with those ribs!

Very nice!

I got some of the 'real deal' from a guy that makes his own syrup up near Toronto.   No comparison to our watered down junk.

Scally, as good as the ribs look (and I love maple glaze) I have to admit...

Those taters have my full attention, that cheesy crust looks perfectly done. YUM!!!

You should call 'em "Scally'ped Taters"

I have a friend who lives in Canada and when he comes to visit he always brings me a can of Canadian Maple syrup. It is good stuff!

We are fortunate to live in a state that produces maple syrup. We wait until early March and buy syrup by the gallon at the Malabar Farm State Park - Annual Maple Syrup Festival.

When the time comes, I'll make a post for anyone who wants us to pick them up a half gallon or gallon.

You can find true maple syrup at specialty stores like Trader Joe's and Gelson's out here although it is very pricey! But it is worth the money compared to our watered down version ;)

Ribs and taters look fantastic Scally!
