My take on his dish..both so good!

Cooked two chickens in a pot with onions, carrots and celery. Boned the chicken and back into the broth for 3 hours. Strained and it looked like this.



Took a little fat out and let’s reduce



Made some smashed taters. Add some bread with some  good cheese.





Add the noodles to the broth.



Add the chicken and a little fresh parsley and let’s plate.



Enjoy!

oh man ---- this brings to mind memories of my mom's home-made egg noodles, stewed chicken pieces and rich broth over mashed potatoes! wow..it's been years since I had that. Thanks!   8)

My grandmother taught me this dish. I used to make my own egg noodles but some of the stuff on the market made all that work a little much.but I must admit they did thicken the broth up that store bought don't.It's just as good now as it was back then. Only a pot and a chicken away.;) go for it!
