I have tried all of the various "syringe type" injectors I have seen...THIS is the best on yet.

It comes with a nice plastic case. 2 different gage needles that actually have a hole in the end!
The collar that screws the needle on to the body is big and sturdy. The stainless shell protects the plastic body, but has a window to allow you to see homuch is in the syringe.

And - they are $14.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. See? - sometimes having to follow the Mrs. around with a shopping cart does have an advantage. ;)
BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.

Sorry Tee but it is a piece of junk. The plastic threads on the handle/nut will break on you. Lately I have learned you get what you pay for. The next one I will buy will be the injector that vets use to inject animals.

It has held up good so far....But- I have only used it on5-6 Boston Butts.....But - for the price, I dont expect it to be a long term solution either.Just the best - cheap one I have used yet.

Mike - I have one of those - but in a similar frustration to what muebe voiced - the threads on mine are so fine - that it is next to impossible to get it sealed right ( on the back end of the syringe.
And - it plugs up with anything int he marinade other than thin liquid.

I have one very similar to this one, purchased at Sears about five years ago.  Rugged and holds a good amount but kinda hard to wash up.  Threads aren't a problem but losing the little pieces in the sink is a pain.  If I get near a BB&B I'll check it out -- the price seems fair.

Don't forget your 20% off colupon or $5.00 off coupon when you go to BB&B.  Makes the price even less painful.  This message brought to you courtesy of my wife's hounding, I mean "superb training".

I may have order a Splitjack...thanks for linking that one. that Magnum kit, with all the do-dads included is nice.

AND - they sell replacement parts too....like that a lot.

Still....$15 for the one currently like...and until this one breaks.... ;) But, you do tend to get what you pay for - I know.

+1 on the Spitjack. I have been using the Spitjack 4 ounce Stainless Steel Injector for a while with the 3/8 inch injector needle so that when I add spices to the marinade it will not clog the needle. I believe that it was $39.99 on the Spitjack site.

I use a cheep one I got off of Amazon for less than $10.  I only really use it for butts and brisket, and as long as I am careful pushing it does OK.  It has held up pretty well for me.
