Birthday Present for Oldest Daughter
« Reply #-1 on: July 23, 2013, 11:26:53 AM »
My oldest daughter had her birthday last week (Iwon't say how old she is but it's wellllll beyond 21) and yesterday we went to apply for her birthday present.  Why do we apply for a birthday present you say?  I bought her her Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) for her birthday.  Should take about three weeks or so to get it back.  I bought her a pistol for her birthday a couple of years ago.  So, if y'all are wondering what is a good present for your children I recommend a CWP...of course, good training on the handling and use of firearms are given.  I was given my first fire arm, a 20 gauge double barrel shotgun, for my 8th birthday.

Must be a different way of life in the US compared to here.. I dont even know anyone that owns a hand gun. No to start a debate or anything but I have NEVER felt the need to carry a firearm.

Roll Tide!!!  Dee

Roll Tide! Looks like we get another shot at LSU. I just hope they didn't get with the Georgia Southern coach to learn how to run the triple option.
I think tapatalk is mezzed up. I quoted scallywag on this roll tied came up.
Anyway, are handguns illegal in Canada?

same where I live too.  my wife and daughter want to start hunting and want to get a hand gun and rifle.  not in my house.  if they want to rent a locker and keep a gun safe in it fine.  I don't feel relaxed w/ a gun in the house.  that's the reason I joined the coast guard during the draft.  its just the way I feel.  there are lots of ways to protect your house if that's why you use them.  for the hunters I think it's probably a way of life just like me having 9 or so fishing poles.  I use to own a bow.  it was to hard to hit the birds w/ the arrows.  I just think to many stupid ppl have guns.    anyway, knifes are way quieter.  ::)

I only carry concealed when I'm not home.  ;)

My wife used to be afraid of guns but when  you marry a Marine you better get use to them. I've taught her the proper methods in handling and made her take a CWP class. She now has a Glock 36 as her carry. Look it up, not most woman can handle that, but she hits black on most pulls :o

Dee, good move.

I don't want this to turn into a debate.. Your constitution grants you the right to bear arms.. And if you feel the need to carry personal protection than that is your right as a citizen. I'm just trying to get my head around why people need to carry guns. Up here most disputes are settled with a good old fist fight. And a handshake and a beer afterwards!

I just think if less people were less armed than the murder rate by firearm would be greatly reduced.
