Today Nancy and I have been married 47 years. 46 years ago on our first anniversary I was in King Salmon AFB, Alaska. My wife flew up for our anniversary. On our anniversary day we went fishing in a boat on the King Salmon River. We caught some nice trout; Nancy caught about a 5 lb. Red Salmon but had to throw it back since the season was over. That evening we had a party at the NCO club and had T-bone steak dinners and Champaign.
Today on our 47th I took our grandson fishing at Bressler Reservoir Lima, Ohio. We got skunked hardly even a nibble; but we had fun.
We went out last night for dinner to celebrate, and ate at Milano’s in Lima, Ohio. Milano’s has been open since 1930 and has some fine Italian food. We had a sampler plate for appetizer, calamari, mozzarella sticks and portabella sticks. We both had the house salad with house dressing, a large salad and delicious. Nancy had pan fried lake Erie Walleye with veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. I had one of the house specials, Asiago 10 oz. sirloin with Asiago cream sauce, covered with crispy portabella fries and garlic mashed potatoes. Some warm cheese bread was served with the meal. That was some of the best food dinning out I have had lately.
Our son is taking us out for dinner tonight.
Grandson and I, if you imagine you can see some crappies on that stringer!
