Dante's Inferno
« Reply #-1 on: November 07, 2013, 11:40:03 AM »
While marriage is a HOLY union , surely a wedding is the work of the devil ::)
As my daughters wedding approaches Saturday I surely feel like  Dante as he approached the gates of hell :o
Women are sneaky , daughter calls Tuesday to tell me to bring checkbook >:(
Talked to wife ( she's been in New Orleans since Monday ) Wednesday & mentioned they had gone over budget & found out she had not been told & I was to soft & should have refused :o
Middle daughter calls ( maid of honor) she's fed up with mom & her sister & expects me to take her & friends in for the wedding drinking tonite ( Thursday) my treat!
It's a good thing I only have 2 daughters , couldn't afford another!

The one next to the old fat f----- is the bride
None of them are cheap dates ::)

At least Lucy still loves me!

Yes please.  ???

We also have two daughters, but much like their parents, they have learned and are learning to be frugal (i.e. cheap). Older daughter called her mother recently, complaining about the high price of well, everything and she is glad that we taught her the value of coupons & waiting for things to go on sale. We are very proud.

I offered only half jokingly that any future wedding will be preceded with a cash offer rather than trying to create another "wedding of the century." It doesn't make you any more or less married based on the final bill.

Nice family
My daughter is getting married in May. I found out very early in the planning process that the only decision I get to make is whether or not to write the check in blue ink or black ink.

Bring the check book. Pay the bills. Cry at your daughter's wedding. Pray to God and thank him or her that you got of rid of one them now.

Then, pack your bags and you and Lucy go on a vacation!

Great looking family. The "blonde" on your lap is pretty darn good looking too!

Your stories make me nervous - I have two daughters as well (13 & 15.) I've told them they can start dating at 30 and get married at 40 - I should be long gone by then...  ;) ;D

Congratulations - I am sure the wedding will be wonderful, and you will be proud.
