Sunday Morning Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy
« Reply #-1 on: January 05, 2014, 01:02:59 PM »
A simple Sunday morning breakfast consisting of Grands Homestyle biscuits, Conecuh sausage
and McCormick's country gravy.

Both put onto the Grid Iron, preheated to 350 and using BD hickory pellets.

Country gravy simmering on the stove top.

Biscuits and sausages are done.

Here's your plate!

As far as I am concerned Conecuh sausage is best there is on the market today! Really love that stuff!

Looks great and can't agree more about the sausage. How did you make the Gravy? I love adding Jimmy Dean to the gravy.
Love to cook and eat

I just mixed 2/3 cup of gravy mix and 2 cups water.  Kept stirring it until it started to boil, then let it simmer
for about 5 minutes.  I know what you mean about the Jimmy Dean sausage. We didn't have any and what I
should have done was chopped up some of the Conecuh and added it to the gravy mix. We usually buy the large
bottle of McCormick Country Gravy at Sam's and it doesn't last long around this house. It makes some great
chicken fried steak.

Fine looking comfort food HOS. That is one of my favorite breakfasts. I also like to add sausage to the gravy. Publix had their Grand biscuits BOGO and I picked up a few cans yesterday. Not homemade but really good. If you ever see any Kelley's sausage give it a try. We like is as good or maybe better than Conecuh.  We can't get it up here but every time we are in South Alabama we pick up several pounds.

I have not had sausage and biscuits in for ever.  Those look good.  And I am going to have to give this sausage a try if I can find it.

I have done my sausage gravy like this since my buddy made this video.

I never saw sausage gravy made with butter like that. Will definitely have to try it, I think I have a pretty good recipe for gravy tho. With Cliff's help with the sausage and biscuits.  Pam ☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི
