PBC whole chickens part deux

Got two whole chickens...



Chickens spatched, pit barrel rub applied, and 4 hooks sunk(two in each bird under the wings)...



Into the PBC...



After 2 hours and a IT of 160F...













Well they stayed on the hooks this time for the entire cook this time ;)

They were very moist and juicy. Skin was bite through and somewhat crispy. Just simply one fantastic chicken cooker!

muebe, it would be easy to use any of my bird racks in a PBC by hanging them with an "S" hook

I've yet to do chicken in mine, but it's next on my to-do list. I love the color on those.

Birds look great Mike. Hopefully I'll get to do something this week. I'm on my 8th straight at work with at least one more to go before I possibly get my day off. :P

Just talked to Tee a little while ago.  He bought two chickens and only cooked chicken on his PBC.  Said his was really good and that he will go back and cook the other one soon.  Can't wait for mine to show up.  It shipped today.

You know there is not anything much uglier than a nekkid raw chicken and not much prettier than a well cooked one. Beautiful as always.
