Cooked two I inch strip loins and a small batch of fries. Salted the steaks 3 hours before cooking then put a rub of Cajun spice, steak spice, paprika and turbanado sugar. Used less than 2 teaspoons of oil for the fries, and a little splash of Olive oil on the steaks.
Here's the steaks just cooked. A little foggy because it's hot in there.
The fries are cooked in the bottom bowl which comes out for easy serving.
Here is the money shot. The steak was like I sous vide it. Perfect all the way through.
The handle comes apart to clamp on to the top tray to remove it, so no hand burns.
I set it for 50 minutes. Then you hit the 2 in I button to bring up the steak symbol and I set it for 12 minutes. It will cook and turn the fries for 38 minutes then stop and beep. Now you put in the metal top tray with the steaks. It will also rotate and cook the steaks perfectly, while still cooking the fries super crispy. When the 50 minutes are up you have a great tasting meal.
Clean up took less than 5 minutes. This fryer is a little pricey but I think it is worth it.
