There not much mustard I don't like in one way or another. A nice mix with Dukes mayo on dogs, burgers and sandwiches is great. But this thread reminded me of "way back in the day" when I worked on Crew boats out in the gulf. We would get these large boxes of frozen catfish fillets. They were typically pretty good. One day we had some that were a touch freezer burnt. Still edible... One of the Louisiana guys said his grandmother always used yellow mustard on strong fish before frying. We gave it a try and sure enough it fixed them right up. Very good in fact... It doesnt taste like yellow mustard once its cooked. It has a nice mild flavor to it. Since then I have used it many times on fried fish and its typically a hit.
I grew up with french's at home & guldens at the stadiums. As I grew older I went for guldens 90% of the time. But if you give me the old ham & cheese sandwich french's is the top choice. I also like Nathan's mustard that is wonderful on a hotdog. My wife loves emeril's honey mustard as she puts it on everything.I just bought some boars head deli style & emeril's kicked up horseradish mustard.I guess I really like most mustards even the dollar tree one.Anyway this weekend hotdogs & guldens for me I sometimes will mix French's mustard with mayonnaise on a ham sandwich or ketchup and mustard on a hot dogMustard is inexpensive, healthy & tastes great and can be mixed. It's a combo that's hard to beatWhat say you?
Not hard at all..I just peel the outside brown layer then chunk it up in smaller pieces...then grind in my magic bullet, put in jar with a pinch of salt and cover with white vinegar..I use a mason cannign jar..it's potent..that's why ya gotta do it outside. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
