Bubba and Cletus had heard about Tee and Art's great hunting trip to the West so they decided they wanted to go hunting in New Mexico.
Now these two had never been farther west of their home town of Ellabel,l which is about 20 miles west of Savannah, than East Dublin, GA. Not only were they not world travelers, they weren't even Georgia travelers.
Cletus said his cousin Scooter was a crop duster pilot and they could save money by having him fly them to New Mexico and all they had to do was pay for the fuel. So Scooter did some modifications on his biplane to be able to carry two passengers. So, off they went from the Wall's pasture landing strip there in Ellaville.
With this being a crop duster and with the weight of the three of them the plane would have to stop often for fuel. The first stop was Columbus, MS. They landed the plane and this little red truck came out and refueled the plane and they took off.
The next refueling stop was Marshall, TX. Once again a little red truck came out and topped them off with fuel. And off they went.
With Texas being so big they had to stop in Lubbock, TX and here came a little red truck to do the refueling.
Cletus looked at his Timex and said, "Boy, we are really making some good time and saving money."
Bubba agreed, " You shore are right. And that little red truck ain't doing too bad either."
