Thought I'd make up some spiced vodka for Bloody Mary's and gazpacho...
Be forewarned it's got a serious kick...
Four large jalapenos, sliced open
1 pint 100 proof decent vodka
Combine the vodka and jalapenos in a quart-size mason jar. Cover with food film and let the mixture blend for 24 hours (or more if you like... it will get spicier the longer it marinates).
You don't want to do straight shots of this unless you're a real chile head... but it goes well in cocktails.
The jalapenos make a nice addition to stews, pulled pork, etc.
