Partner Billy Merrill and I will be cooking in Galax, VA this weekend.  Team is Holy Smoke NC.  If you're in the vicinity come by and wish us luck.  If you're judging it, please give us 9's  ;)

Looks like a great event!  I think one of these trophies would look great in your house.

Following up:  14th in Chicken, 16th in Ribs, 21st in both Pork and Brisket for #20 overall out of 35.  Plenty good enough to keep competing but not good enough to quit our day jobs  ;)

We had really crazy non-standard turn-in times that almost tripped us up a couple of times.  I started cooking chicken at 5:00 in the morning.  I question the sanity of anyone who wants to either cook or eat chicken before lunch.  Last turn-in was Brisket at 2:55.  Awards weren't until 7:00 PM.  Long, long day.

Thanks all for the kind words, encouragement and support.  We had a great time and will certainly keep on keeping on!
