Add to beans and simmer for 3 hours. Put the lid on the pot at an angle. Keep a pan of hot water on the stove to add when the bean liquid gets low.

Them some good looking beans...But I would need some good Cast Iron Skillet Sweet Corn Bread for them beans.

I love some slow cooked beans. I wish I could find some fresh hocks to smoke, I haven't tried adding smoke to the hocks you get at the grocery.

looks yummy

Nothing like slow cooked bean and ham hocks.....real comfort food!

I'm with Sparky and Smokeasaurus, I'd like a plate/bowl, too. Looks good Rcik.

Looks good. I like to make those myself. Fresh beans with smoked hock. Nothing else. Put in a crockpot overnight and put on top of or side of sweet cornbread or as you said, some arroz blanco.

Looks good but isn't that more of a fall winter food? Around here it is anyhow

We never gwt white out conditions int he South Chris...So we have to pretend to have winter whenever we feel like "comfort food". ;D
