Title: Miners Mix rubs
Post by: smokeasaurus on July 08, 2012, 02:15:47 PM
Well, Sparky has been using Maynards Memphis rub so my secret weapon has been revealed.

Miners Mix rubs are based on some old Mine chefs recipes found in an old gold mine from back in the California Gold Rush days!!

Here is a chance to rub on some California History!!!

They even offer a reward to winners in BBQ Comps!!

I looked into these rubs the other day but didn't pull the trigger. Shipping was too expensive. Not a fan of companies that make shipping a profit center for them.

That is strange as I actually to check out with more than $30 in the cart, and my shipping cost said $11. That is when I stopped. I will try again and report.

I also e-mailed Huel Howser over at California's Gold to check that place out!!! If that lost miner story is true it will make for some good TV!!

California's Gold is a PBS station and Huel goes all over the state sharing cool stuff and places of interest on his TV show!!
