I'm going to see about going.  True bbq.  No electricity or gadgets.  Wood, lump and charcoal only.  Right up my alley.

KCBS rules allow (and have since their origin) pellet cookers.  I'm sorry that Big Poppa (who has been banned from the leading pellet cooking forum for childish behavior and thus stomped off and founded his own) carries a grudge.  He'll gladly sell you a pellet cooker.    I hope they raise a lot of money for charity, anyway.

oh, I'm only going if my boss pays for it.  I don't have the money to fly down, tickets, 1 night stay at la quinta w/ crown and FT.

Ok let's break this down.

- it will be on the weekend so you don't get no pay
- we be smoking, don't need a room I'll bring tents
- don't have to fly I'll drive
- Crown, Scally always said he would supply and I need a back up driver. Pappy Devo will be up for a road trip also
- Ft, up to Mr. T

We live just a few miles from the La Quinta Resort and always attend KOS
It's really fun to visit with so many of the top cooks in the country

We go every year. Until you see this in person it is hard to believe.  The mini BBQ classes after turn in are educational. Learned a better way to trim brisket at King of the Smokers.
