Limited time and raw materials...company coming...o.k...
1/2 ground pork and 1/2 ground chuck, and seasoned the meat with Top Secret. 2- 1/4 lb. patties with 1/4 cup of shredded sharp yellow cheddar in-between them, to make patties that are now over 1/2 lb.

A hamburger in any form is okay with me. That one is something special.

Looks great!

Thanks folks! They were really tasty. Having a burger press or burger stuffer is pretty much the only way to go for time's sake on these. I cooked them to 165F, because it is ground meat... and I had some guests that really don't want to think meat should be any color near pink :D. But they were not dry.

No - I have only seen yellow and brown mustard seed here. The black flecks are coarse ground black pepper. If you have not tried making your own mustard - I highly recommend it. It may be the easiest home-made condiment you can make. Easier than mayonnaise.....keeps forever in the fridge, is not expensive to make and makes great gifts. Lots of recipes out there on the 'net. I like the ones that use a little red wine vinegar, and a touch of nutmeg or allspice.

This is a great burger . it is time to do some burgers here ,till then i will drool .

I'd eat that!

Black seed has disappeared. It probably has to do with cost in some way.

There is a season for burgers?

Looks great Tim! I'd love a plate of all that flavor but with a couple Leinenkugle Big Butt Dopplebocks instead of the Shiner. 8) And maybe a game of bocce ball or horseshoes afterwards to burn a few calories! :D

When I was in 5th grade we had to pick an instrument - I chose drums... but too many were ahead of me so I got the trumpet. Went on to play almost every wind instrument, but the trumpet and flugelhorn are still my favorites. But - I always wanted to play the drums.... so, Pappy & Ken you did good!

You guys stuck with it. I didn't.
Once, in a job interview, I said that I had never quit anything in my life. Then I paused...because it occurred to me that it wasn't correct. So I said, "Except fifth grade band."
The interviewing guy laughed and said that he quit, too.

I've loved making music (usually not well) my whole life. Played guitar and mandolin till the neuropathy made my fingers not work. Recently took up "the instrument of wind" - if you've seen any videos of Leonard Cohen's recent tour you know what I mean. Looks a bit like a weird clarinet, but connected to a laptop via USB - strange but fun.
He - Leonard Cohen - remains my favorite musician of all time. Not only is he a brilliant poet, gifted performer, but has had the good sense to surround himself with some of the best sidemen that have ever performed.
The guitar in this piece blows my mind - I just found this version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Uh26JVBvO8
And this one highlights his poetry - but you can also see the "instrument of wind" comes in about 4:24 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY2XYRL9pQk

I almost quit but was too small for football and there were just so many good looking girls in the band. Those road trips in the back of the band bus were fun. I learned a lot about life.

Ohhhh man - Our band represented ND at the World's Fair in Spokane WA 1974 - Darlys C**** (won't say names) yes many lessons learned on that bus ride - then she broke my heart...
