Title: Grilled Cheese Sammiches

Post by: hikerman on May 23, 2015, 11:05:25 AM: Pretty simple. But when tomatoes are in season I like to cut one up in thin slices. Then generously butter the outside of two slices of sourdough bread, put one slice butter side down on a hot pan, layer slices of smoked swiss, tomato slices, and then a bit more cheese, finishing with the last slice of bread. Brown on first side, flip, press and brown on second side.
Also sliced apple with smoked cheddar is a good one too!

Post by: TwoPockets on May 23, 2015, 10:14:30 PM: I like a good grilled cheese with ham. But for a treat I like some Palmetto Pimento cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich. It is a South Carolina pimento cheese with just the right amount of bite.

Thick slices of american cheese, bacon, some home made macaroni and cheese, on Hawaiian bread.
