Every cook needs an IR Thermometer and the least expensive I know of is at Harbor Freight.
According to the flyer in today's Sunday paper it is on sale for $25.99 and there is a coupon for 20% off. Now, I've got my shoes on so my math maybe a little off but that makes it about $20 before taxes.
This is a good deal on a piece of equipment that can be used both inside cookin' and outside cookin'.

I went to HF to get the IR Thermometer. They will let you use one coupon. Can't use the 20% off and the $25.99 sale. So it's best to use the $25.99 sale. I think that's what I did. Dee

Sounds like a good deal. Let us know how it works for you.

I've had one before and they work great. I've read on another forum where someone used it to take youngun's temperature. It also puts out a red dot that you can use to drive cats crazy. Gonna see how hot the inside of my truck gets on these 100* days. Dee

That's a great deal Dee, I gave $200 for a Snap-On brand for work and it's probably no better than what you bought

I've had one for awhile that I got with a super saver coupon for 14 bucks, so far I've used it to check grate temps and outside the box temps. At the moment I have it at the office to check how much the A/C duct temp changes as the outside temp hits 100. Our office is in an old building with 20 foot ceilings and even with the thermostat on 73 it still reaches 80 by noon.

Had mine for a couple of years now. I paid about $15 with coupon and still works great.
