I'm posting this because I saw your comment in the sweet saugae conversation...
To grill avocado is super easy.
Cut in half and remove seed.
Place halves on grill skin side down. Once it's warm you can turn it over if you want some grill marks.
A little olive oil helps with the grill marks.
That's it. Serve it right in the skin works just fine.
a little squeeze of lemon never hurt.
You can also add seafood like smoked tuna dip along with a slice of tomato, fresh veggies and a slice of cheese. Cook with this in place... I'll find some pics of this and post later.

Thank you! I didn't realize you just grilled and had it all together. I thought it was some combination like peppers and onions with sausage, haha, silly me. Thanks for posting and I will have to try some grill avocados, because they are looking really good!

Here's an update "with" a picture.
After you grill the Avocado add basil, slice of tomato, slice of cheese(I like Asiago) and smoked seafood dip or smoked seafood salad.
I would encourage trying various things you like because this has unlimited potential. Even chutneys would be good here.

Sprinkle some sea salt and crashed red peppers in the avocado cavity, crack an egg in it and grill it using indirect heat. Finish with grated parmesan cheese. Good eats!!

I canned a lot of chopped peaches and jalapeno's this year, that I bet woudl be excellent on them too. I like mine with sectioned grapefruit and add olive oil and grapefruit juice with salt and pepper..YUM .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I like the lime idea. I started using lemon when a Mexican lady at the grocery store told me it would help stop the browning process. And it taste really good too.
Now the grapefruit I cant do. Grapefruit for me is like swallowing a handful of gun powder and then a lit match. I don't know why but it always has.

I love avocados and grilled they are the bomb! I've used either lemon or lime juice at different times - both are good. Terry, thanks for the rest of your suggestions as well, some great new things to try!
